Happy New Year Everybody!

Well, what can I say? I'm excited! We are actually getting a babysitter and going out tonight! (Once in a blue moon doesn't quite imply exactly how rare an occasion this is). We had a great Christmas! My brother, 'uncle ben', came down from Canada and spent the holidays with us!!! It was so fun to have him here... well, fun for us! But I'm not sure how entertaining a toddler an 8 month old and a pregnant lady are to a young hip single guy. But we enjoyed having him here! Especially Griff, since he usually has to spend Christmas eve alone (while I work), watching both home alone movies... Yeah, not a pretty sight. Anyways, Sophie loved getting to know her Uncle better. In fact, she was obsessed with kissing him goodnight. Mom, Dad and bonnie get one kiss, but Uncle Ben usually averaged three to five. I haven't quite broke the news to her yet that that sort of thing is actually illegal.

Uncle Ben actually got Sophie her favorite toy for Christmas... this box.

Christmas Eve we made sugar cookies and iced them and put some out for Santa before bed! (Sophie ate the cookies that were for Santa when daddy was not looking).

Here is a shot of Christmas morning! Lola and Lolo got Sophie this baby doll set. She LOVES it!!! Now all she does is take her baby for walks around the house.

Here she is wearing an apron that someone from our ward made for her! (So cute!) and reading the present that uncle ben actually got for her.
Here she is playing with the fridge magnet toy barn that Tavie got for her (coolest toy ever!) and she loves it and yells at me every morning until I turn it on.

This is the card table playhouse that I made for Sophie! (thanks abby!) The mailbox has actual felt letters in it that you can take out.

The oranges come off the tree too!
We are thinking of you all and miss you! May this next year bring blessings and joy and a closer relationship with our Savior. Love you!

Happy Holidays!

T'was ten days before Christmas and all through the house,
the price's were scurrying around like a mouse!
The stockings were all done with Mama so proud,
she hung them on the wall to Christmas music blaring loud!
And there they're examined every night before bed,
by a little cheeky girl with dreams of chocolate in her head.
His gingerbread house, daddy was busy making,
that resembled his favorite picture worth taking.
Well, they got into the car all bundled up smartly,
and headed to the ward's Christmas dinner and party!
There in the church there arose such a clatter,
we ran from our plates to see what was the matter!
The scene we beheld popped our eyes from our head...
Santa had come!!! Much to Sophie's great dread!
So we send you all our best Christmas laughs,
and remind you to put a diaper on, after the bath!

Merry Christmas!!! Love the Price's

We're officially Climatized.

This was a busy weekend for us but tons of fun! Saturday morning we had a primary activity where the kids made gingerbread houses! It was a blast and I just had to show off some of their houses. I was seriously impressed with how well they turned out! My friend in the presidency actually BAKED all the gingerbread from scratch and cut out all the pieces for 50 HOUSES!!!! Plus she made all the icing! (She's Martha Stewarts Protege and one day I want to be just like her!)

That evening we attended our local festival of lights, which is basically our Christmas Parade! In these pictures we are completely bundled up... in fact you would think that we are in -20 degree weather (Celsius). Well, let me tell you... it FELT like -20!!! I could not stop complaining about how freezing it was, even with my hot chocolate. Well, we were surprised when we got home to discover that it was actually +5 out. (???????) I swear it was colder than that! So I guess we are true Californians now. Wussies to the core.

We were all wearing mitts too, and Sophie has like 4 layers on, including tights under her jeans! (Seriously..... +5?????)

One of our favorite parts of the parade was the Star Wars Float with Christmas decorated Storm Troopers. Now what more could bring out the Holiday Spirit?

One of my favorites were the flame baton twirlers! Soooo cool, but very hard to photograph. This was the first parade that we've seen that had a huge line up of cars that did cool stuff. (Okay I am a girl and I'm not even going to try to spell hydrolics. Okay I tried). But anyways, what I'm trying to say is the cars went on two wheels and bounced up an down and stuff. Hopefully that didn't sound too pathetically girly.

Anyways, it was loads of fun... besides being freezing... and totally got us in the Christmas spirit... even with the Storm Troopers! We'll leave you with this video of Sophie singing her new song! Have a great week everyone!
