Happy Easter

We had a nice quiet Easter this year. It was interesting trying to put the focus on the Resurrection instead of the Easter Bunny, but hopefully the girls got an okay mix of both.

The Easter Bunny woke up at six in the morning to put together this play house for the girls before they woke up. What a good Easter Bunny. Mommy stayed nice and warm and slept in.
Easter Dresses. Poor Mia didn't get to wear her gloves to church. She had to stay home sick with me.
Happy Easter!

Better late than never!

I need to hurry up and post about Mia's Third Birthday before I'm two months late.... Oh wait. It's May already, isn't it?
Sophie was SOOOO excited. Probably more than Mia was. Here are the two sisters in their princess garb.
Mia wanted a Rainbow birthday. We had lots of family come over for the big event and eat rainbow assorted food.

The Cake turned out pretty psychedelic.
Some great things about Mia at age three:
She LOVES cereal and has about three bowls a day.
She LOVES helping... with anything... even changing her cousin's poopy diapers.
She can't wait to be a big sister.
She can't wait to just be BIG. and go to school and take ballet and be taller.
Happy Birthday Baby girl!!! We love you so much!

What makes you happy

Lots of things make me happy.

My girls, the Gospel, driving with no snow in February.

But really, the thing that works every time is just Ice Cream.

If you know what store this container is from you may be an addict like me.

Well, I was in need of some Ice Cream this week.

We're having a boy.

I know, I know. "That's great! You'll love him! He'll be easier when he's 16." BLAH BLAH BLAH.

I was still looking forward to more of this:

And now it'll just be lots of this:

(Breast teaser onsie. Seriously, what is it with men and breasts?)

Anyways, on an exciting note, Mia got her first Haircut! (seriously she's almost 3!!!)

She was SOOOO excited!

Looking all glam and smelling like Watermelon hairspray.

(Watermelon Hairspray people!!! I'm just not ready for a boy.)

Once there was a SnowWoman!

We finally had some snow here and since I'm a crappy mom and I don't play in the snow with my kids- my Mom took the girls to make snow WOMEN!

Gotta love the tea hat and feather boa.

Didn't pack boots for the kids either, so again my Mom had to improvise.

Grandpa took some Sunday pictures of the girls:

Yes, my kids are at a stage where they like to "pose".

With cousin Kori! Oh the girls LOVE her. Sophie tells me all the time that she will help me with my baby and even change the diapers.

Silly faces!

Snow women are already almost melted! I LOVE this winter! I can handle Canadian cold if it's only for three days! Hurray for Chinooks!...

And it's time to wash my car, AGAIN.

Resolutions?

Anyone? Anyone? And no, I'm not talking about your camera's megapixel capabilities.
It IS January people. I've always been All about New Year's Resolutions- and keeping them.
Yes actually keeping them, for like longer than 48 hours.
Last year my one resolution was to abstain from Chocolate for an entire year. And I failed. BUT I did make it to the end of November (black friday to be exact)... and I had a pretty good excuse for caving... but I'll share that with you at the end of this post. Where I will also share with you my one 2012 resolution.

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas with all the family!!! It was so fun!

Sophie at her Preschool Christmas Concert:

(She's in the back row near the center- you can just see her head)
I say that my kids are Spoiled every year... But this year

I REALLY MEAN IT.

Santa brought them a big barbie house with new barbies.

And Mommy and Daddy got the girl's this, because Mommy's a pushover and Daddy's a Power Shopper. (He bought this at 4 in the morning on Black Friday, while I was sleeping peacefully at the hotel).

(PS- They seriously can't steer worth crap. The first time they got in the thing they pinned Griff's leg to some stairs. I almost peed my pants. What a holiday memory)

Christmas Eve we slept over at Lola and Lolo's house and spent the evening with all the family! It was so awesome! Making Reindeer food with auntie Manda.

The girls loved ALL their presents! Thanks to everyone for all the beautiful gifts!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Oh- and Happy New Year! I guess I should tell you my resolution-

It was actually made 4 months ago...

To have a BABY!
