Baby Price Contest

Well, we've decided to host a contest to guess the date of the new baby's arrival! Like I said before, I played this at a recent baby shower and thought it was such a cute idea. Sooooo, to get you all interested, we'll announce the prize first: If you guess the correct birthdate you'll receive a Cineplex gift certificate (10$ or more... depending on how much cash we have at the time) if you are from Canada. If the winner is from the US: you'll receive a similar gift certificate from such fine establishments as Cold Stone, Target, ect. If the winner is from Modesto, they may just win two galaxy theater tickets. (or a generic gift certificate... depending on how hectic my life is when we finally know if anybody won our stupid contest). So, all in all, there is a prize, and it's worth at least entering!!!

RULES: (yes, there are rules to this silly contest.... and a lot of them actually. I may just have to post them in fine fine fine print)

1.Contest opens tonight (January 31st 2009) and closes - yes that's right, CLOSES as in you can't enter after- midnight on February 15th. (it's a Sunday night)

2. Only one date per person entering.

3. You have to enter via posting a comment on my blog. NO PHONE ENTRIES. (I'm talking to you mom). If you really really really want to enter this awesome contest and are technically challenged, call me and I'll walk you through how to post a comment.

4. Dates are awarded on a first post, first serve basis. As in, if you look on the comments and someone has already taken the date you had in mind TOO BAD. (so sad, I'm sorry, you'll have to pick another date)

5. Okay, this is getting ridiculous, I really don't have any more rules, I'm just seeing if anybody is still actually reading.

Okay! Feel free to start guessing! But for those of you who are serious contest goers... oh you know who you are.... here is some background info on baby Price:
My official due date is March 26th, 2009, but I was being bounced around from March 30th, 2009. Sophie was born 4 days before her due date. Even though my due date is on track, I'm actually measuring 2 weeks too small.... so obviously that means that I'm going to have a cute tiny baby and a super easy delivery, and DEFINITELY I'm not going over my due date... right?? Right?!

Happy Guessing everybody! And thanks for playing along with us!

Blossoming Love before Valentines?

For the last week we had my girlfriend Renee and her little boy Jonas, who is almost 2, come and stay with us! It was sooooo fun and Renee and I thought we glimpsed a bit of romance between the two kids.... well not really, actually Jonas didn't seem to like Sophie at all. I guess who really likes someone they have to share snacks and toys with? We spent a day at the Sacramento Zoo and in Monterey! We had GREAT weather while Renee was here.... and now it's back to rain! We really miss you Renee and Jonas!!! It's so quiet all day long..... and I really miss someone who folds my laundry for me!

The two kiddos @ the zoo! Check out my new stroller. Anyone want to buy it???? (I hate it, and got it used so I can't return it).

We took a train ride at the zoo! The kids loved it!!! Especially Jonas who kept 'toot tooting' the whole ride!

Okay- just to clarify, Jonas was not farting the entire ride but saying "toot toot" because that's what a train says.

A shot of one of their many romantic dinners.

Monterey!!! (we want to move here. Anyone care to lend us a million bucks for a down payment on a house?)

At the aquarium they had a great play area for kids.... and parents! They have all this fun stuff to inflict on your child, such as little sea creature costumes to put on them!

Okay, okay... I won't plan the wedding just yet.

And this is why you wear flip flops to the beach. Apparently the tide came in while we were having so much fun.

Me plucking some seaweed out of my shoes.

Where is Southern Alberta when you need it?

Well, here is an interesting little story for you all. I guess we have become "city folk" living in Central California. Yesterday we were out for a walk around our park. Sophie began pointing and mooooing insistantly. Then she started signing for cow. I looked around our park for this mystery cow and instead saw a large black and white spotted dog. I guess to be fair to the poor girl she's only seen pictures of cows.

Little big girl!

Hey Everybody! Hope you all had a great new years! We had a ton of fun on our night out! We even stayed out passed midnight!!! (Yes, we are old and that was an accomplishment).

Well, we've got a lot to post about our growing girl, so we'll try not to make this toooo boring. First, Sophie has now graduated to nursery (whooo hoo!) and she loves it (double whooo whooo!) Here's to freedom at church.... until march, when we start all over again. Here are a couple pics of her at nursery! We LOVE her nursery leaders, they do such an awesome job!

I love this new dress that Grandpa Rob and Grandma Dodie got her for Christmas!
She also had her first haircut! I think it makes her look so grown up (sniff!)

(Okay this last shot was not the greatest of her new haircut... I really didn't butcher it)
We got Sophie a toddler bed!!!! She is so excited about it and thinks it's her new favorite toy. She's slept in it 2 nights now......

Here is how she ended up the first night.... and then in the morning we found her curled up on the floor!!! But the second night she did fine and slept the whole night in the covers and everything.
And here is my big belly. Griff and I are starting to get pretty excited! We want to have a competition on our blog about guessing the baby's due date. I played it at a baby shower that my friend hosted and it was really fun and a cool idea! So stay tuned on a further post for details on our game! (and we will actually have a prize).
