We're Early.

For those of you who know the Price's, you understand that 'early' is not our strong point. 'On time', is not a strong point either. We're really not even that good at 'fashionably late'.
But for some reason this year (okay it was a Scentsy Party) I broke out the Christmas decorations early.
What is it about putting up the Christmas tree that is just so magical?

This is our first Canadian Christmas in a while.
I guess it wasn't just the Scentsy party that put us in the spirit.
Don't these pictures just make you want to start humming "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas"?
Looks so inviting doesn't it?
Until you have to shovel your car out of it's parking spot.
And this is just for our Californian Friends:

If I only had a brain!

Okay so this is a little late, but better late than never. We went to the local trunk or treat and it was awesome as usual. I was supposed to be a scarecrow, but couldn't get my costume together in time (I really have been brain dead lately) and ended up being a "nice" witch. I had to clarify with Sophie since after I painted my face green she refused to talk or look at me for about an hour.
Sophie absolutely loved being Dorthy, who says "No Place Home" repeatedly through out the evening.
Mia was adorable as our cuddly little cowardly lion. Her costume was SOOOO cute! ( thanks mom ).
The girls could not believe that people were just giving them tons of candy.
Total night of bliss.
So long from our land of Oz.

Bribery

Whoever said that bribing your kids doesn't work, is full of crap.
You're looking at full motivation for dry panties.
FYI- Griff is the one who bought all these dolls. I told him to get one for Sophie and maybe one for Mia too, and he came home with the ENTIRE collection.
Gotta love Griff.
He definitely loves his girls. I can only imagine what the cashier was thinking.

And just for fun, here is a video of Mia burning some calories.

Gotta love my stairmaster from 1974.

Double the Fun

Well, we have a wonderful Daddy. First he talked mommy into buying Wiggles tickets in Lethbridge. The girls were ecstatic! They loved every wiggly minute of it.
THEN, as if that weren't enough... he got FREE tickets to Wiggles in Calgary for the next night. And mommy had to work so he packed two hyper girls in the car and drove all that way by himself, for the exact same concert. Again.
Wow Daddy.
WE LOVE YOU.

Thanks Daddy!

I also had to post this picture of Sophie getting her hair cut in a Barbie Car. Holy Heaven. Totally recommend this place.

Camping!

The September long weekend we had our last hurrah of the summer and went camping in Saskatchewan with Manda and Carson. It was a blast! The girls LOVED the beach.

The water was really nice! We all got in, even me!

Manda's really good friends have a cabin there and they let us play with their boat! Thanks Heather and Scott, we had the best time ever!!!

Sophie going on her very first tube ride!

She loved every second of it!

Having a snack lunch on the beach.

I celebrated my birthday while we were there! 28!!!! Or am I 27... or is it 29?... I know it's not 30.... Seriously, my mental state must indicate an age of 88.

Watching movies in the trailer. (why did we ever tent before????)

Cody, Manda's dog, and his near death experience. His leash caught on fire. None of us noticed. It was a good thing he was shaved prior to this trip.

Best part of camping??? SMORE FACE!

School is Cool

Well, Sophie started her preschool program today! She was so excited she could hardly contain herself. Here is a picture of her on Monday before we set off for her orientation day.

Little Sister so supportive.
And here she is on her Real First Day! This is one of her teachers.

She spent a full 20 minutes the day before picking out her outfit.
We left her finger painting and on cloud nine.
Little sister was pretty ticked that she didn't get to stay and play. Instead she had to go home and take a nap. And Mommy got to sit back and think about how quiet it is. I even got a little emotional... and then I remembered I could blog without fingers pounding the keyboard or turning off the computer mid upload.
It's quiet... but definitely not too quiet.

I can hear the bells.... Again.

We were blessed in our family this year to have two weddings! Not so blessed to have them only 7 weeks apart! Ha! Just kidding! It was so fun to be up in Edmonton at the Temple to see Ben and LaNae get married! They were a beautiful couple and Manda and I are pretty excited to be getting another sista in the family.

(Just to clarify, the "sista" we speak of is the fun loving bond that we share... Not a new African American sister in law. LaNae hollors from Orton, in which I'm quite certain the population of black people is 0.)

Mia and I chillin at the Temple grounds. Actually roastin would be more appropriate! It was a hot day!
Ben and LaNae attempting to take a picture with my uncooperative girls.
Pretty much sums up how Sophie behaved all day.
Sophie dancing with her Cinderella doll because LaNae danced with Ben in her fancy dress. (She still talks about LaNae and her fancy dress. I really need to start saving now for this girls wedding).

Aren't they so cute!?
While in Edmonton we stayed with Grandpa Rob and Grandma Dodie. Grandma Dodie took the girls raspberry picking from her garden. What a hoot! I think Mia probably ate her weight in the berries.

Sophie got to eat some of these berries on her cereal the next morning! What a treat!
And for everyone who's familiar with Southern Alberta, it's time to Whoop it up again. I decided to dress the girls up all country to celebrate.
Watching the parade. Sophie loved the mini horses and Mia loved the great Dane that was randomly going for a walk in the parade. Daddy loved the belly dancers and Mommy loved that she got to put pizza in her belly after.

See ya'll next time, ya hear!

I can hear the bells!

It's about time I post some pictures from Auntie Manda and Uncle Carson's wedding! What a wonderful Day! Seriously the best wedding ever!!! The girls were so cute and had a blast!

Sophie and one of the other flower girls, Carson's niece.

Mia my little angel! I was so worried that she wouldn't walk down the Ilse, but she did awesome!!! She got lost, and stood around for like a full two minutes and then finally saw Griff at the end and smiled and laughed the whole way down the Ilse as she walked to him. I just about died. My kids are so cute!!!!

Sophie and Mia with my cousin Garrett. Sophie and Garrett Danced the night away. At 11:00 at night we had to tear Sophie off the dance floor crying and screaming "I just want to Dance!!!"

We are going to have Serious problems when she's 16.

Me and my sis. What a beautiful bride!

Here are some pictures from her photographer. Sooooo Goood!!! Check out her website and blog for more pictures of manda's wedding.

My mom and Aunt Holly made the cake! Look out Martha Stewart!

I mean seriously!? Aren't these pictures Great!

PS- the first song playing was what she walked down the ilse to.
Happy wedding guys! So glad we could be a part of it!
