Baby News

Yes It's official... We have a new baby cousin!

Little Kori Lynn was born to my Sister Manda on Nov. 9th. She weighed 7lbs 1 oz!

The girls LOVE her and are constantly touching her, kissing her and waking her up! Poor baby!

Here are some little shots from Manda's friend and photographer: Jenna

Isn't she just the cutest!!! And we are soooo excited there is another GIRL in the family!!! Yeayyyyy for BOWS!

Speaking of fun girl stuff- here is a couple shots of Sophie's Ballet class.

Mia LOVES ballet too and has been traumatised by this whole "too young for ballet class garbage". Luckily in September she'll be able to take her own ballet class.

Here is a short video of Sophie doing some ballet:

Crappy Halloweeniers

Anyone else an avid Parks and Recreation fan?
Anyone? Anyone?
If you HAVEN'T seen the Crappy Halloweeniers episode... I HIGHLY recommend it.

The girls were pretty into Halloween this year... as you can see from above. Sophie just kept wanting to run to yet another house.
And because I like to keep things interesting... AKA- unorganized, here are some pictures from July 1st in Raymond this past summer.
Slowly yet surly I will persevere and get this stupid blog up to date.

Sigh... already missing flip flop weather:(

I wish I had an evil twin.

I've been procrastinating... everything. My life has been too busy watching Vampire Diaries season two to make dinner, fold laundry, etc.

So after hour on hour of Elena vs Katharine, I've come up with this conclusion: I really need an evil twin.

Think about it:

You could blame them for anything.

What? You thought you heard me yelling at my kids at the grocery store? Oh no, that was evil twin.

Burnt supper yet again?

Sorry Griff- evil twin was cooking again.

What? I haven't done my visiting teaching?- That's because evil twin has been ruining my life again and I've been too busy trying to fix all the vampire, witch, werewolf, and boyfriend drama I encounter EVERYDAY.

I need to move to Mystic Falls.

On a completely unrelated note... here are some pictures of camping at Writing on Stone!

Yes... It was lovely.

And it was definately my evil twin's fault that I didn't post these pictures until 4 months after our camping trip.

Father's Day in September?

Well not really... I'm just THAT behind. Considering the small amount of time I spend blogging- you'd think I have an actually social life that I spend my time on.
However...
this is what I spend my time on. (this and zooloretto- a game on my ipod)

Happy Father's Day Daddy.... Again.... over three months later.

(Notice the small second blond figure golfing... Mia added that after I thought the cake was done and was not looking:)

(oh and second addendum- the girls have curlers in their hair. This was the BEFORE shot okay!)

I SCREAM

Summer is coming to a close here in the Great White. And we can't help but mourn. Three months of the year really isn't long enough to truly get our fill of Slurpee's and ice cream.
Here's to Summer! (and don't worry Mac's store... I'll still be buying Slurpee's when it's -25).

Life is a ZOO

The animals in my house are noisy and bite. They throw their food on the floor and get quite stinky.

And I won't even get into the poop clean up. (I hate potty training)
Yes, life is a zoo... but there is always an upside to the zoo. Like Cotton Candy!

Sophie couldn't quite get used to the "zoo smell".

We are almost past the stroller stage:), but until then, we've had to improvise a cup holder.

Sophie holding elephant poo.

Yes, there's no place quite like the zoo.

When I Grow Up

When I grow up I'm definitely going to be an heiress.
Sophie has decided and
Dum da da Dum.....

She wants to be a CHEF!

(I really don't know where she got this from since I am a horrible cook and burn 48% of my baking... hmmm Maybe she would like to finally eat some good foo d)

Her outfit for preschool Career Day.

I'm hoping she'll be a very successful Chef since she also dreams of rolling in this:

In fact, she'd like two. One pi nk and one black.

So please everyone watch out for the Sophie Cooking show. (And buy her book.$)

Time Flys when your...

Having fun...

When your in the sun without sunscreen,

When your out of school,

When you have two small kids,

When your kids are asleep,

AND MOST OF ALL...

Time Flys when it's

SUMMER!!!

So I best be blogging about Sophie's Birthday before it's three months overdue.

We went for the typical 4 year old birthday PRINCESS theme.

Great Cake hey?

Um yeah, thank you Safeway. This was my cake:

And this is why my cake wasn't at the actual party:

Apparently my mad cake making skills are...

not...

quite...

MAD.

FYI- heather, that cake decorating class could not come fast enough!

Something that was successful at the party:

Pinata shaped castle, stick to hit stuff with, showering candy...

what 4 year old's dreams aren't coming true right now???

And here's a shot of her special birthday breakfast!

Happy Birthday Sophie! We love you!
