Well we made it. We are now in Canada after almost 1400 miles, four days, a pit stop in Portland, and endless big gulps. Will we ever do it again??? Unfortunately we have to, unless we want to abandon all our belongings and our dog and just stay here....
Tempting.
Here are some pics of the trip!
Thankfully we have a DVD player in the car. We now have all the words memorized to all 16 songs from this movie.
The drive was beautiful!
Mia taking the wheel for a tired Griff.
Sophie trying to tune a tired Mia out. (she's really loud when she's mad and apparently being in a car seat for 24+ hours makes her really mad.)
In Portland! It was SOOOO nice! Kins and Dust you've convinced us to move.... If we could ever find a job there. Thanks for putting us up! We had a blast.
Two little cousins holding hands! They were so cute together!
Cooling off at the spray park in Portland.
Chillin in the mechanics waiting room... ummm yeah, long story. But we did make it.
Driving through Sparwood! (almost home!)
Here's a glimpse of the worlds largest truck. It is large. But not large enough to stop the car when the baby is sleeping.
MORE TO COME!

Hooray- when do you move!!! I can't wait to hear all about the long drive from Portland to Taber. It is a long drive- but it shouldn't take 23 hours!!! See you tomorrow- or for sure this week sometime!
So glad you made it there! Our trip was 1150 miles each way and we are so glad to be home! The drive seems never-ending, but worth it in the end. Hope you have a great time. Good luck with the drive home:)
I know all too well how it goes when you have a movie completely memorized!! We have all the doodlebops memorized and Dora and the Bee movie and also Enchanted! But at least it keeps them entertained. Oh and the biggest truck in the world is not in Sparwood anymore (Travis has real issues about that) The biggest ones are actually in Fort Mac!! You could come up and see them! We like visitors... I know I got you interested with the big trucks right!!! Hope you had a good trip. Drive safe.
Griff I noticed that when you were nodding & letting Mia drive, she wasn't wearing a seat belt. Shame on you. The trip looked nice but when Dodie & I did it 2 yrs ago we couldnn't wait to get out of Portland. TOO MUCH BIG CITY & BRIDGES if you know what I mean. If you're gonna move make it north of the 49th paralel.
I can't believe it. We passed through Sparwood B.C. last weekend, we might even have passed you on the road. As for the Worlds BIGGEST Truck, I've seen the ones up in FT. Mac. up close and my money goes on the Sparwood truck.
See you guys this weekend.
Love ya,
Grampa Rob & Gramma Dodie
