Friday after work I went to Yosemite with a group from our stake and we did something most people would consider insane. Holy Half Dome Batman! We started at midnight and hiked up the mountain in the dark. Our reward - (besides being up for over 30 hours straight, risking our lives climbing and descending the treacherous CABLES, and walking 9 miles almost straight up then turning around and walking 9 miles straight down) - was a beauty ... being over 8000 feet up and seeing the sun rise. I took a lot of pictures (please pay no attention to the hairy homeless looking man that somehow found his way into most of my pictures ruining the shot) because every time I do this I say it's my last time. This is an extremely strenuous hike, very taxing on one's body (specifically mine). So, to all of you out there who have wanted to hike this hike but have not yet - let me save you some blisters, sweat, muscle and joint pain, and about 8 hours of your life. Enjoy - if you are feeling guilty that I was the one who actually did all the work and HIKED this monster and you are sitting on your behind seeing what it is like to be at the TOP - then reach into your wallets and pull out a 5, 10 or better yet a 20 and send it to Griff Price in Modesto, CA ... once again that's Griff Price.
