Here's how my birthday weekend/adventure in the OC came about: I came home from work on Thursday night and Jess was feeding Sophie dinner (Sophie is in that wonderful "NO" phase).
JESS - "Sophie, do you want more food?"
SOPHIE - "NO!"
JESS - "Sophie, are you all done?"
SOPHIE - "NO!"
JESS - "Then here's some more."
SOPHIE - "NO!"
(You get my drift)
Anyways, out of the blue I chime in and say (GRIFF) - "Sophie, do you want to go to Disneyland?"
Sophie didn't say anything, she just turned and looked at me (like she was processing what I had asked). After a few seconds of thought, and some encouragement from her mother, Sophie signed "YES!" (Do I still need the quotations if she signed it???).
That's what started my/Sophie's amazing weekend getaway.

Oh, to have a 2 year old again. The "no" phase goes away, only to be replaced by something else. You should be grateful she's so smart...Not even 2 she's not paasin' up on a chance at D'land. Griff, you rock. One day I must come to Cali. You'd be the BEST guide.
