Our week with Lola

Thanks Steve (lolo) for going without mom for the past week so we could enjoy her! It was great having her here! I slept a lot more and my mom a lot less and we got tons done around the house. I feel so guilty that my mom' s "vacations" are really more work than when she is at her home. She weeded my overgrown yard, did load after load of laundry, dishes, cooking, tending the kids... you name it! Wow. I really want a nanny now. It's really depressing when I get up in the morning and the dishwasher hasn't been unloaded. What the !? Oh yeah..... that's my job again.

Lola can do all sorts of cool stuff like french braid hair. I'm really really really going to try to learn how to do this. (I'm a mom of two girls!!! French braiding seems so much more important now.)

She brought all sorts of fun presents including these matching outfits!

Mia had her first and only 'happy' bath where she wasn't turning purple from screaming, when Lola was here. (Apparently this kid prefers dirty).

And she witnessed Sophie's first attempt at trying to breastfeed Mia. I think I need to start using nursing covers around the house.

She treated Sophie to WAY too much Ice cream. (does it look like she's complaining? That was the junior Sunday.)

She came with us to the Modesto "beach". (It's really a sandy patch at the reservoir, but we still had fun).
And she took Sophie swimming, and swimming and swimming, since as soon as Sophie would get out of the water she would ask Lola for More!
Thanks Lola and Lolo! We miss you so much already! It was really a blessing having you here. Thanks for all the fun... and for all your hard work!

Aaaw I can't wait for my Mom to get here! Matt's Mom was here and she was a lifesaver, but you know it's always nicer with your own Mom! I can't get over how cute those two girls get every time you post! Oh and why do people always get matching outfits when you have two of the same? I just don't get it...

How precious! Now I miss my mom too. Your girls are so beautiful. Sophie is getting so big and her hair is long too! Mia is so pretty...I just love your babies! PS I think we need to buy Renee 900 matching outfits for Jonas and Baby Boy #2. It would be so funny...in fact I think I will go do a little shopping now. I did bring home matching socks from Canada for Sophie and Mia so I need to get them in the mail soon. So cute!!

I love Sophie's french Braid. Dont worry I dont know how to french braid either & I was in Cosmo in High school (but only for a year)!!!!! I also love your girls matching outfits!!!!!! Another thing I love is that you call your Mom Lola!!!! If we had another girl we were going to name her Lola (dont tell anyone in case we ever have another girl were still using it)!!!!!!!!

Dashanne- you're secret is out for all the blog-o-sphere!Jess- Looks like you had so much fun with your mom around! When you mater the french braid, you'll have to teach me! (Not like Eden would sit long enough for me to do it...) And did you curl Sophie's hair. It looks so cute flipped up! I love the matching outfits- Dashanne and I had them all the time. Anyway- I love all the pictures...little Mia is so adorable- and little Soph is getting not so little!
